Steel Safety Railings

SERIES: VDKR

Protect people from uneven walkways and mezzanine drop-off's. The safety railing is constructed of schedule 10 steel. All models have an outside pipe diameter of 1-5/8". Handrails are 42" high with a 21" mid-rail. Mounting options include socket sleeves, cast steel base, barricade base, or cast steel sockets for convenient handrail removal. The cast steel sockets accept wood 2" x 4" or 2" x 6" when toe boards are required. Two (2) lag down holes are pre-drilled for permanently mounting the railing. The steel design includes a baked-in powder-coated finish, which is available in a variety of colors found in the table below. The VDKR series safety rail products comply with U.S. Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) General Industry requirements for guardrail systems in 29 CFR 1910.29.

I'm interested in the steel safety railing. When using the double socket what is the gap between the two railings?

When using the VDKR-P102 socket the distance between the two railings is approximately 1".

We are installing the safety railing and using the double socket. VDKR-P102. How much does it add to the length of the safety railings?

The VDKR-P102 double socket has approximately 1" in between the two railings

We are interested in the safety railings. Will we need the VDKR-CON to connect multiple rails?

The VDKR-CON can be used with some of the bases. Please note if you are using VDKR-P102, VDKR-W-102, VDKR-BASE, or VDKR-BASE-W the connectors (VDKR-CON) should be excluded.

What is the capacity of the railing?

The VDKR will support 200 lbs. of force in any direction.

Does this gate swing in both directions?

Yes, the gate swings in both directions.

What grade is the steel?

The VDKR steel is Grade B.
